Peace in My House

Today there is peace in my house
It may not always be so,
and for how long, I don't know
But today there is peace in my house
Today there is joy in my house
The children had a lovely day,
they had their time to laugh and play
Today there is joy in my house
Today there is love in my house
Their Daddy and I are a team,
to us they mean everything
Today there is love in my house
Today there is calm in my house
The cooler days mean no AC,
And makes things Q U I E T
Today there is calm in my house
Today there is hope in my house
It was not always so,
but I see my children and I know
Today there is hope in my house
Today there is peace in my house
And I am happy to be in my house.
